As Telaid’s 40th year in business draws to a close, I have spent time reflecting on our business, how we got where we are today and what our future holds.
This year was both challenging and amazing. We are riding the waves of change on a sea of uncertainty toward a new era of retail. In some ways, I feel like a pioneer discovering the great unknown. With emerging technologies advancing every day, we’re not sure where industries like retail, logistics, foodservice and healthcare will end up.
The journey is exciting, but can also be treacherous, with uncharted paths and critical decisions required without complete information. As our customers travel this road, Telaid is committed to walking right there beside them. At Telaid, that’s what we’ve always done. As I look ahead to Telaid’s next 40 years, here are some principles I hope will propel us forward.
Look to our roots – This company was founded with a simple principle in mind: serve customers and help them overcome their challenges, even if they are uncertain about what the best solution might be. We have always prioritized the delivery of great service to the customer, even on the most complex projects. We continue that legacy today. We solve our customers' greatest challenges – that is our mission rather than deploying certain technologies or offering specific services. Our offerings are fluid – we are agile and develop competencies where they are needed to make our customers successful.
Continue to focus on people – My dad once said “From day one, our legacy has been to take great care of our employees so they can take great care of our customers. This simple core value allows us to meet and exceed our customers' expectations day after day, year after year.” Without our people, we are nothing. For 40 years, we've invested in and supported our employees, customers and partners. We will continue to do so. People are our greatest asset.
Invest in tools – It’s imperative that we continue to invest in the latest technologies - for our internal operations as well as for our customers. In 2020-2021, we purchased and built out a new, state-of-the-art 100,000 square foot Technology Solution Center (TSC). We recognize the importance of having the tools and technologies to support our growing business, so we will continue to invest in our facilities.
We are honored that so many leading enterprises look to Telaid for reliable technology services, innovative solution design, best-of-breed technologies and dependable support.
