But realizing those outcomes depends on more than choosing the right solution - it depends on how quickly and effectively that solution is implemented and put to work. That’s a step many organizations are actively working toward.   ## Balancing Legacy Systems with New Investments Technology transitions don’t always start with a blank slate. Many retailers have legacy equipment still in place, some of which may be functioning, but not fully compatible with newer systems. In some cases, legacy equipment can still be used in lower-priority locations while newer systems are phased in where performance matters most. It’s not about throwing everything out - it’s about taking a practical approach that fits the business’s pace and priorities.   ## Closing the Gap Technology on its own doesn’t drive results - the impact comes when that technology is fully deployed, working as expected, and aligned with business goals. Closing the gap between making a decision and seeing real outcomes requires attention to execution, from planning and rollout to integration and ongoing support.
