Implementing ServiceNow across our own operation has enhanced Telaid’s ability to deliver complex, multi-site projects on time, on budget as efficiently and cost effectively as possible. System-to-system integration with our customers delivers a scalable platform and offers greater availability to customers. In addition, operational workflows are connected so that everyone is working off the same information. This results in reduced redundancy and eliminates the needs for time-consuming email and phone communications. Typically, team members across the board find they don’t know how they lived without the integration and never look back. Often, customers are most apprehensive about the process of system-to-system integration. So what does the integration process look like? Perhaps the most important part is asking the flurry of questions that define the goals of the integration. We explore objectives, stakeholders and processes with questions including: - What are the outcomes you’re looking to achieve? - What data is needed? - What platform are you using? - Do you have a team dedicated to this initiative? - What is your timeframe? We then map out the integration process from a technical standpoint. Which data and views is the customer comfortable sharing with Telaid? We assign the appropriate technical resources from Telaid to program the interface between the two systems using APIs. We conduct security and performance testing to ensure the integrity of the integration. Finally, we engage in training with all stakeholders on the new interface. We talk about the process and how the system will be used to place requests and communicate for maximum efficiency.
